Salvation Army: Social Services Center information provided by: the Sacramento County Mental Health Division

Shelter Services: Lodging and meals to homeless single men and women for 30 days, including a support system of multiple resources and specialized programs. Offers job development, computer training, employment counseling, mental health services, recreational activities, substance abuse counseling, Alcoholics Anonymous, alternative housing, spiritual counseling, chapel services, and bible studies. Casework, counseling, and referral services provided to other needs. Family Services: Food closet to low-income families, single adults, and seniors age 60+. Food boxes available up to a six times a year with a 30 day wait between each food box issue. ID and rent receipt required to apply. REACH helps pay for PG&E bills. PLEDGE helps with SMUD bills. Applications accepted from individuals in need who do not receive General Assistance or live in subsidized housing. Assists seniors and permanently disabled clients with their City of Sacramento water bill. Helps clients with rental assistance (three day pay or quit).
